Time is going by way too fast. Little Charlie is now 10 months old. We went to the 9 month check up yesterday (yes, we were a little late). His measurements are:
Weight 18 lb, 14 oz. - 13%
Length 27.5 inches - 13%
Head measurement was 60%
He's fallen quite a bit in the length percentile but I always thought his 6 month measurement was way too generous. And he's lost a little weight in the past week because he's been sick and teething. I think he's actually over 19 pounds. Either way, he's little but he's healthy!
It's been a busy month with trips to Virginia and Kentucky (more on that soon), new teeth, colds, and lots of new tricks. Here are some notes on Charlie at 10 months.
- Finally enjoys reading books.
- He has two top teeth now for a total of 4 teeth.
- He will walk behind his walker.
- He can clap and make a "touchdown" sign (hands high above his head)
- Waves hi and bye
- Makes a "fish" face and smacks his lips when you do
- Loves to crawl on things and will turn over his toys and tables and then crawl over them.
- Eats more finger foods
- Says/whines Mama more and more
- We're dealing with separation/stranger anxiety quite a bit. Charlie screams as soon as I leave the room, almost every time I leave the room.
- Even though he gets shy around strangers, he still loves to smile at everyone he sees in hopes that they will smile back at him.
