Charlie's First T-Ball Game

Charlie had his first T-Ball game this weekend. He is in the rookie league for 3 and 4 year-olds. The kids all get two chances to hit a pitched ball, and then they try to hit it off the Tee. They don't keep score at this age. It's hard enough to get them to run to the right bases at this point. It is SO. STINKING. CUTE!

Charlie did really well. He paid attention, went after the ball, got some good hits off the tee, and ran around the bases. For some reason, he always wanted to skip 3rd base and run straight home, but the coaches grabbed him and pointed him in the right direction. When the game was over, the kids had a snack as the coach talked to them. They always give the game ball to one kid and they gave it to Charlie! It might be because he had the biggest cheering section, but it was still very exciting!!

Here are some pictures and video from the game...

Charlie and Holly before the game. I didn't realize they were holding hands until I was uploading these pictures. So sweet. :)

Practicing with his coaches before the game

The coach is telling the kids not to fight over the ball when they're in the outfield. Can you see little Charlie in the middle?

Waiting for his game to start:

Too cute in that uniform

He was so proud to have Wes there cheering him on

AND two of Wes' friends who also play baseball. Charlie was in heaven.

In the circle...since there is no pitcher, that position is called the circle. I couldn't believe they gave Charlie a chance to play there for a while. That position and first base are the ones that see the most action at this point.
