Preschool Christmas Party

On the last day of school before Christmas break, Charlie's class had a party and the kids gave a short presentation/concert. Charlie is getting progressively better at these. Last year at the Thanksgiving concert, the teacher held him in her arms while he cried. This time, he wasn't upset at all. But he wasn't that into it either. He mostly just looked around at all the lights and the people.

Here is their class walking in. They are supposed to put their fingers over their mouths to remember to be quiet.

Charlie is in the back row, just to the left of the teacher in red. I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty boring.

After the (thankfully short) concert, we went back to their classroom for a party. The kids were sitting in a circle when we walked in, ready to play a game.

They were playing a version of musical chairs, with wrapped books under each chair, and of course chair were taken away. When the music stopped, they got to open the present under their chair and get a new book!

I tried to get a picture of Charlie and Holly during the crafts, but this is the best I could do.

Here are Ms. Laura and Holly, with both their beautiful smiles.

Charlie was too busy eating sweets at the party and really didn't want to pose for a picture with Ms. Laura.
She said they would take some later and that afternoon she sent me these pictures they took together on the playground. I feel so lucky that he loves his teacher. She is so sweet!
