Mountain Trip 2015

We had been looking forward to another trip to the mountains ever since we got home last year. We went back this weekend and it was a great, relaxing weekend again! Here are some pictures from our trip.

The kids got to watch a movie on the way there (even though it is only an hour from our house).

On Friday, we took the kids on their first hike. We went to Anna Ruby Falls. It's only .4 miles in and .4 miles out, so it was easy to do with no stroller. Wes came too and of course, Holly wanted him to carry her as soon as we got there.

It rained most of the way in, but it was fun and kept it cool.

We made it!

Two seconds after we got to the waterfall, Charlie said he needed to pee. No one was around, so I told him to just pee off the deck. I couldn't resist sneaking a picture of him.

Sweet boy and his Daddy

On the way back to the car, we saw blue sky for the first time in days!

After the hike, we headed into Helen for a nutritious lunch of ice cream.

That evening, we rested in the hot tub,

before hanging out and watching movies.

Then it was time for bed and stories with Daddy.

The next morning, we hung out around the cabin with awesome blankets,

and played in the hot tub more.

It was cloudy, but still a beautiful view.

While the boys went to a knife shop, the girls took a trip to Babyland General.

Holly could have been there for hours.

But we finally got her to decide on a doll, who she named Caroline. We had to pick a middle name so we suggested she name her Caroline Sue. She said okay and we took her to through the official adoption process. She had to raise her right had and repeat after the nurse about how she would be a good Mommy. It was very sweet and she was so cute.

We also had fun hanging around outside the cabin fishing, roasting marshmallows, and Charlie even practiced his golf swing.
