After a good night's rest, we woke up Monday morning ready to take Charlie to the beach for the first time. First, he played with Maddie and Wes for a while. (This is a recurring theme on this vacation that makes life MUCH easier for me!) Thank God for older cousins. :)
Finally we gathered everyone and everything and headed to the beach.
We took a small playpen for Charlie and set it up under our large tent. It was great because it was in the shade, and with the breeze, not too hot for him.
Of course we had to take Charlie down to the water. Here he is touching the sand and water for the first time. At first he didn't like it at all. Whenever we tried to put his feet in, he would lift them up.
Later though he went down to the water with Poppy and he liked it a little more.
Mostly he just enjoyed being held and napping in his playpen. :)
