And We're Off!

Our vacation has officially begun! We left Saturday morning for the Holbrook family vacation. We're here with Kyle's Mom, Dad, Sister - Stephanie, Niece & Nephew - Maddie & Wes, and his Brother-in-Law - Cam (who will be flying in on Tuesday night).

We packed up the car (this picture really doesn't do it justice), and we were off!

We left our house around 8:30, just before Charlie's morning nap. Here he is as we left, all ready to go and excited that Mom was riding in the back with him.

He took two cat naps of about 30 minutes each between the time we left and when we stopped for lunch around 11:30. We stopped at a Zaxby's off I-16 in Metter, Georgia. That place was crowded! It's pretty much the only exit with food between Macon and Savannah, so we weren't the only folks in town. Anyway, we were at Zaxby's for a full hour getting food for us and feeding Charlie.

With a full belly, Charlie took a good long nap, and by the time he woke up we were almost there. We are staying at the Ocean Place condos on Amelia Island.

Saturday evening Charlie played with his cousin Maddie while Nana, Stephanie, & I went to the grocery store. We loaded up 3 grocery carts, and almost 2 hours later we were back home to relax for the night.
