Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning, Charlie woke up first, so we went into Holly's room (which was under construction at the time) to wake her up. Jackie helped too.  This is her "what is going on?" face.

She jumped up pretty quickly when she realized it was Christmas. I ran ahead to get a picture of everything Santa brought.

And Charlie's face as he came downstairs. He was really excited this year, which made it a lot more fun for Kyle and me.

Checking out their loot.

I asked Holly to look at me and smile with her scooter. This is what I got.

Then we started checking out the stockings. Holly was most excited about the chocolate, of course! Charlie held up his whoopee cushion and asked what it was.

We explained how it works and luckily, he was able to blow it up himself. Here is is trying it out for the first time. This is where the love affair began.

Trying it out again.

He can't stop laughing. The whoopee cushion was, hands down, his favorite Christmas present.

After our Santa gifts, we opened our presents to each other. Charlie was so sweet giving Holly her present.

Soon Aunt Lynn, Aunt Alex, Grandma, and Lili came by.

The kids got mini iPads from Lili. That was Holly's favorite gift! She was so happy!

Once the Holbrooks and Garretts came over, we opened more presents...so many presents!

After all those gifts, we took a break for brunch.

Once everyone was gone, we settled in to play with all our new toys like the big dinosaur and our magna tiles.

Later that afternoon, Grandpa Chuck came over to celebrate Christmas with us. It was a full day of presents, fun, family, and love...a wonderful Christmas day!
