We took our Amelia Island trip in late July this year. Charlie had been looking forward to it (and counting down the days with our "vacation rings") since our trip to Tybee Island. He was super excited when it was finally time to go! Holly rode down with Kyle and I. Charlie rode down with Nana, Poppy, and Wes.
Stopping for snacks on the way down
They did pretty well on the drive. At one point, we told Holly that it was time to sleep, but she just sat there and played pretend with her doll for about 30 minutes before falling asleep. It was adorable listening to her. I think she was pretending they were swimming. "Jump to me now...good job! We twy 'gain..." So cute.
Once there, we unloaded and began playing! Besides lots of time at the beach and the pool (more on those later), we also had a lot of fun napping, eating, and hanging out with family...
She is just so sweet when she's sleeping
Watching TV on Nana's iPod
She wanted to try Nana's curlers
Spoiled by her cousin, Wes
Charlie really enjoyed having Kyle around every day
Especially for the naps
Napping with her baby
Charlie went with Daddy, Nana, Wes, and Poppy to play 9 holes of golf. He had a great time.
A vacation tradition, french toast for breakfast every morning (and sometimes lunch)
This is her "Yummy...I love French Toast" face
Love those tan lines
Sweet girl
Trying the binoculars
Another vacation tradition, Sliders restaurant and playground
Going for a walk
More Wes snuggles. Holly always wants to know where Wes is.
Maddie and Steph came down a few days later, which gave Wes a much needed break!
Silly faces
Playing one of their favorite games these days. Charlie builds a "boat" and then they put as much crap on it as they can find. Here they are taking a "nap" on their boat.
Busted playing with the golf clubs
Putt-putt
Feeding the turtles
We got both kids on the way home. Thank God for DVD players and headphones!
