Charlie LOVES the beach. He loves the sand. He loves the water. He loves running around. He loves finding shells. He loves it all. Every morning he was ready to go to the beach! Holly still wasn't thrilled about it. She was better than at Tybee Island, but she wasn't loving it. There was a lot of fussing and lot of whining each time we got there. She usually got over it, but it would come and go. She did love the tide pools. Here are our some pictures from our time at the beach.
Playing in the sand
Running, running, and more running

She's so tan!
Charlie's friend Connor was visiting his grandparents on Amelia Island and we knew he and Charlie would have a blast on the beach together. He and his Mom came over to our condo one morning and we all loaded up and headed out to the beach. They were so excited. After about 5 minutes, Holly accidentally got sand in Charlie's eye. He cried and cried and then cried some more. We finally realized it was not getting better. Long story short, I had to take him to Urgent Care and he had scratched his cornea. He had to wear his goggles in the pool and his sunglasses at the beach after that. And we got some lovely ointment that we put in his eye four times a day for a week! By the time we got back from the Doctor, everyone was tired and ready for naps. I felt so bad that Connor and his Mom had come over and we never even got to play with them. They played with Holly, Kyle and Poppy for a few hours though.
