Tybee Island Continued

The next morning, we took a quick walk to the store and to visit the fountain.

When we ran out of coins, we just reached in for more.

After that, we decided to try a different approach with Holly. We took her to Back River Beach, which is basically just the back side of the end of the island. There aren't many waves and it's more calm. She did much better. She still wouldn't leave the blanket for about 45 minutes, but she wasn't crying.

At the end of this video, I ask Holly if she's happy. She says, "Mommy, let's do happy...and you know it!" She wants to sing the song with me. Something about the way she says it is SO adorable to me!

And finally, she decided to join in the fun. This tide pool was perfect for us.

Thank goodness for Lili, who is always willing to get down and dirty while playing with the kids. :)

While we were there, we watched Lori as she fished on the beach. Charlie loved watching and he loved looking at the fish she caught.

When we got hungry, we made our way over the the pier for lunch. We also got to see someone catch a baby shark on the pier.

The rest of the vacation was spent with more pool time, more beach time, a stop at the playground, the lighthouse, and lots of napping!

Holly begged to sleep in a big bed like brother, so we let her. She did great!

Cheesing for the camera

Love this sweet boy

And finally, it was time to head home and see Daddy. Charlie was great the whole trip! Holly never did adjust to the big beach. We'll see how it goes at Amelia in July!
