Vacation Time!

We just returned from our annual Holbrook family vacation. The kids did amazingly well on the trip down. We stopped once for lunch, fed Holly, changed diapers, and got back in the car. After that they both fell asleep until the last 30 minutes of the drive. Thank goodness for headphones and DVDs though!

When we first got there, Holly tried out the beds. After her seal of approval, we got a good night sleep in preparation for all our fun!

The first couple of days were spent on the beach. This year was especially fun because Charlie is finally old enough to really enjoy it.

Holly tolerated the heat, as long as there was a breeze.

And she looked pretty darn cute in her little beach hats.

(Caught her mid spit-up in this one...definitely a "happy spitter")

She didn't cry when we put her feet in the water (like Charlie did when he was 6 months old.)

When she got tired, she took naps in her tent. Not a bad view!

Charlie loved it all...playing in the waves with Daddy,

 playing with his bulldozers,

knocking over sandcastles,

writing our names in the sand,

going for walks with Daddy,

chasing the birds,

playing golf,

and of course, relaxing in his beach chair.

Once he tired of the beach, we tried out the pool. Charlie's swimming has improved so much and now he can jump in with his floaties on all by himself.

When we were totally exhausted, we would head back up to the condo and laugh with Charlie,

while Poppy and Holly took a nap.

Our vacation was off to a great start, but there is more fun to come!
