New House!

The biggest reason for the lack of blog posts lately is that we bought a new house! W always planned to move by the time Charlie was in elementary school, and we found a great deal, so we went for it. It all happened really fast and has been a bit of a whirlwind. We LOVE our new house and new neighborhood. It's a golf course community, which Kyle loves, and it's extremely family friendly, which I love. The neighborhood is called Reunion Country Club. We are about a mile from the pool, clubhouse, driving range, and playground. I've already had a great time taking the kids up to the playground and meeting other Moms!

The only downside is that we had to move further away from our friends, Lili, Grandpa, and Kyle's work.

But our new house has an office and Kyle is planning to work from home as much as he can...which has only happened once since we moved in, but once we get more settled, we're hoping it will happen more.

Once we moved out of our old house, we did some improvements and put it on the market. It has been so much work and it's so stressful. I don't recommend doing it this way, but for some reason it made sense at the time. We had one woman say she was going to make an offer, only to change her mind because she didn't like having a crawl space. And we had a written offer that we were really excited about but it fell through because apparently we were there back-up house and their offer on their first choice was accepted. :( It's really disappointing, but I guess we should be glad that we have had 2 almost offers in less than 2 weeks on the market.

So we will hope and pray someone comes by and makes another offer! In the meantime, we are setting up the new house. I'll post interior pictures soon, on a day when the house isn't such a mess. :)
