In addition to swimming, we are going to the gym a lot more often because Charlie is finally happy there. He walks right in to the children's area, shuts the gate, and waves bye to me. And when I come to get him, he doesn't even seem that happy to see me. It's WONDERFUL! I'm hoping this is a trend that will continue when he starts back to preschool in the fall.
When we're not swimming or at the gym, I'm doing my best to use up Charlie's energy. He is now running everywhere. It's so cute when he runs and his little cheeks jiggle. Even though he's running around and busy, he is sleeping less. (Boo!) He wakes up between 6:00 and 6:30 every morning and goes to bed around 7:30. He takes 1-2 naps a day but they are also getting shorter and we'll probably drop to one a day soon.
One good thing is that he is still slowly improving in his vocabulary. He's up to 10-15 words, including: yeah, choo-choo, go, car, no, bonk, and more. Although he doesn't use a lot of words, he is very interactive and a great communicator. It's so interesting to see how he gets his point across without talking. Like he loves watching videos on my phone, especially one of monkeys jumping on the bed. He'll bring me my phone and then put his hands up and say "ooh-ooh-ooh" (which is his version of a monkey) and point to the phone.
His 18 month check up isn't until July 9th so I won't know his stats until then, but he seems a little taller. We'll see!

Here are some videos of our (almost) 18 month old baby boy...
Charlie loves to put things on his head and over his head and then walk around. (I think he does this because I always put things on my head to make him laugh.) In the videos below, I was folding laundry and he was using the opportunity to put things on his head and walk around. He's so silly!
More evidence that he is obsessed with sports. His latest obsession is hitting a ball off the tee.
Daddy was out of town on a golf trip on Father's Day, so we made him this short video.
Here are some recent pictures:
Charlie always gives animals a kiss, including this dog in the car ride at the mall. (btw, the day when Charlie realizes you can put money in those rides and they move will be a very sad day for me)
Poor Charlie got his first bee sting recently. Actually we're not sure if it was a yellow jacket or what, but it definitely hurt the little guy.
Go? Go? (always wanting to be outside)
Putting on make up like Mommy
Taking a break at the museum
Napping with his cup
Now that's how you drink juice
Playing on the iPad with Maddie, Nana, and Memaw Rex
Good thing he's too small to get his head stuck
